Cheeky Cheetahs love to Read and Write

Look at what we've been up to during our Literacy time this week. 

We have learnt to use Reading Eggs and are excited about using this in class and as part of our homework. 

In writing this week, we have worked on writing about ourselves. We had the opportunity to share our favourite part with the class. We are getting better at being an audience during sharing time and building our confidence speaking in front of an audience.

This week Room 19 had swimming for the first time. We focused on:

• entering and exiting the pool correctly
• gliding with a flutter board and kicking

We all enjoyed learning about swimming and look forward to Week 6 when we have another swimming session. Here are a few photos of our learning.

I am Miss Georgina Manuele, the classroom teacher for Room 19, also known as the 'Cheeky Cheetahs'. I am blessed to be part of the Rowandale School Whanau and am looking forward to having an awesome year with my class and their whanau. 

We have had a great start to the year learning about the school values, vision and statement. We have established classroom routines and our classroom treaty. This is a 'give it a go year for the Cheeky Cheetahs'!

This year, we are fortunate enough to be signed up with 'Reading Eggs' and 'Mathletics' to support us in our Literacy and Numeracy programmes. Your child has permission to access these at home - if you have the internet. Please talk to your child about their learning.
